JAMNAGAR: Pop sensation Rihanna and CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg were in India on Friday, March 1, for an opulent event thrown by the richest man in Asia. Other prominent individuals from around the world were due to attend.

Global tech titans, pop icons, Bollywood stars, industrial titans, and politicians are expected to attend the three-day grand event, which is being hosted by billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani.

Radhika Merchant, the daughter of wealthy pharmaceutical moguls, and Anant, his younger son, are being married this weekend, and here is their extravagant pre-wedding ceremony.

Images released by Indian media verified that Rihanna, Mark Zuckerberg, and the Facebook founder's wife, Priscilla Chan, had arrived in Jamnagar, Ambani's hometown.

According to local media, umbrella singer Rihanna, who gave birth to her second child in August, will headline Friday's festivities in her first public appearance since the Super Bowl last year.

The artist and women's beauty entrepreneur, who was born in Barbados, was reportedly offered up to US$9 million to perform at the event, according to broadcaster India Today.

Ambani, 66, is the chairman of the massive oil-to-telecoms company Reliance Industries and, with a net worth of over US$116 billion, is ranked as the tenth richest person in the world by Forbes billionaires list.

In the western Indian state of Gujarat, the family opened a three-day feast for the locals at the Reliance Township in Jamnagar on Wednesday.

The Reliance Foundation announced on social media that the Ambanis are constructing a complex of Hindu temples in the city.

Later this year, Anant, 28, who also sits on the boards of numerous companies controlled by Reliance, is anticipated to wed Merchant, 29.

In 2018, Ambani married his daughter in what was considered the most expensive wedding to date in India—it cost US$100 million and featured a performance by US music superstar Beyonce.

The entertainment for the attendees, which includes Microsoft founder Bill Gates and a number of current and former political figures, is also anticipated to include US illusionist David Blaine.
