After making the requisite number of appearances specified in his contract, Eric Dier's loan move from Tottenham Hotspur to Bayern Munich has been made permanent, the German Bundesliga club announced on Saturday.

After a decade at Spurs, the 30 Year-old England midfielder reunited with former teammate Harry Kane by joining Bayern on loan in January on a season-long contract.

Max Eberl, a board member for sport at Bayern, said that Dier's contract has been extended until June 2025. Eberl noted that the 30 Year-old England international gave "valuable support" in defense.

Dier has made seven appearances in the Bundesliga with Bayern, five of which were starts.

"In Munich, I'm content. Even though it's been a challenging time for the team, I can now concentrate on playing well for the team and attempting to assist the team win games and tournaments because my future has been resolved," Dier said.

Bayern, who have won the Bundesliga for eleven straight seasons, are currently seventh in the standings, seven points behind unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen, who still have one game remaining.

On Tuesday, Bayern will play Lazio in the Champions League round of sixteen. German team trailing the first leg 1-0.
