Toyota Industries faces crackdown for engine emissions cheating - Nikkei

Toyota Industries, which also produces electronics, textiles, and automobiles, might lose its certification for an excavator engine, according to the article.

It also said that the ministry seemed to be planning a similar move with two different forklift engine models.

"The regulator will weigh the severity of the misconduct before deciding whether to do the same for engines used in Land Cruiser vehicles and HiAce vans," according to the newspaper.
