WASHINGTON: On Wednesday, December 25, the departing and incoming US presidents delivered differing messages for the Christmas holiday. While Republican Donald Trump greeted the nation with a holiday greeting before attacking his political rivals, Democrat Joe Biden urged Americans to take stock and come together.

In a late-night YouTube video tour of the White House's Christmas decorations, Biden narrates a message to Americans to put aside "all the noise and everything that divides us."

In the White House, Biden says in a voiceover, "We're here on this Earth to care for one another, to love one another," as the camera moves past decorated fireplaces and evergreen trees.

"Too often we see each other as enemies, not as neighbors, not as fellow Americans," stated the politician. In order to "live in the light," treat one another with respect and decency, and keep in mind that there are more things that may bring Americans together than separate them, Biden asked everyone to take a minute for "quiet reflection." "We're truly blessed to live in this nation," he declared.

On Christmas Day, Trump posted a "Merry Christmas" message on Truth Social in the middle of the morning, along with a picture of himself and his wife Melania.

He then reposted more than two dozen articles or other social media posts that supported his political stances on issues like his pursuit of Greenland and the Panama Canal, as well as his support for Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth.

Trump later released a longer "Merry Christmas" speech in which he attacked Democrats, Biden, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, alleging that Chinese troops were running the Panama Canal.

Trump later released a longer "Merry Christmas" speech in which he attacked Democrats, Biden, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, alleging that Chinese troops were running the Panama Canal.

"Merry Christmas to the Radical Left Lunatics, who are constantly trying to obstruct our Court System and our Elections," Trump tweeted. "They know that their only chance of survival is getting pardons from a man who has absolutely no idea what he is doing."

"Also, to Governor Justin Trudeau of Canada, whose Citizens’ Taxes are far too high, but if Canada was to become our 51st State, their Taxes would be cut by more than 60%," the president wrote.

In order to bring the nation together, Biden reportedly dropped out of the 2024 presidential contest in July. Biden entered office in 2021 with the promise to "end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, rural versus urban, conservative versus liberal.

" In the November election, Biden's Democrats lost both houses of Congress and all of the battleground states. According to some metrics, the nation has become more polarized, particularly during the 2024 campaign when Biden faced Trump once again before Democrat Kamala Harris took over.

The next US Congress is expected to be the most divisive in history. Trump has pledged to reorganize the federal system, called for the prosecution of alleged political rivals, and condemned the U.S. seizure of the Panama Canal.

One was a meme that made fun of Barack Obama by featuring a picture of the 44th President and Trump at his inauguration in 2017 along with the caption, "When you see the guy who said 'you'll never be president' at your inauguration."
