When the police were called to a beer hall in Munich late on Monday night where Lazio supporters had gathered, an Italian fan was arrested for doing the Adolf Hitler salute.

On Tuesday, Bayern Munich will play host to Lazio in the second leg of their Round of 16 Champions League match. Lazio is ahead 1-0 after the first game.

Munich police said in a statement on Tuesday that an 18-year-old was taken into custody for giving the salute and later freed after providing four figures as bail.

A video of Lazio supporters gathered in a Munich beer hall was circulated by Italian media. The supporters were heard yelling "Duce! Duce! Duce!"—a well-known chant for Benito Mussolini, the former Italian dictator and Hitler's friend.
