Bayern's Boey out for several weeks with new hamstring injury
The Bundesliga team announced on Wednesday that defender Sacha Boey of Bayern Munich will be out for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury that recurred.
The 23-year-old former France youth international had previously torn his left hamstring in mid-February. He joined Bayern from Galatasaray in January for 30 million euros ($32.59 million).
The team released a statement saying, "FC Bayern will be without full-back Sacha Boey for the next few weeks."
"On Wednesday, during practice, the new addition for this winter sustained a torn muscle in his left hamstring. The FC Bayern medical unit confirmed the diagnosis."
The Frenchman has played for the German powerhouse twice: once as a substitute in their 3-1 victory against Borussia Moenchengladbach at home on February 3 and once as the starter in a they suffered a 3-0 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen one week later.

Bayern revealed later on Wednesday that goalkeeper Manuel Neuer had strained his left adductor while playing for Germany on international duty. On Tuesday, winger Kingsley Coman and defender Noussair Mazraoui resumed their training regimens.
