Apple is developing an AI-powered code completion tool.
According to a Thursday Bloomberg article, Apple intends to release an artificial intelligence tool for finishing lines of software code. output
According to the news outlet, the tool would resemble Microsoft's Copilot, which can finish lines and blocks of code depending on the developer's initial input of the code. As early as this year, Apple may incorporate the capability into its Xcode software.
Software developers can download Xcode for free from Apple, but publishing products to its app stores costs $99 a year.
According to Bloomberg, Apple is also preparing further AI features for its products. For example, its business presentation software will be able to generate slide decks and Apple Music playlists automatically. According to the news agency, a new iteration of Apple's "Spotlight" search function on its gadgets may be able to access deeper app features and regulate them.
Apple did not answer a request for comment right away.
